THIS WEEKEND: Freshman Year First Hits!

Any music artist will tell you there’s nothing like hearing your song on the radio for the very first time… it means you finally made it!

This weekend on Retro Pop Reunion, we’re celebrating with Freshman Year “First Hits!” Joe Cortese will play those first year, first time, first hits on this week’s playlist!

A few first hit stories you’ll hear more about this weekend:

• Susanna Hoffs of the Bangles still has the cassette tape of the demo of “Manic Monday” that Prince gave to her!
• Rick Springfield still has the handwritten lyrics of “Jessie’s Girl” in the top drawer of his desk at home.
• Bryan Adams took one of his favorite Journey songs and used pieces of it for his first hit!
