Great White Singer Has Died

Founding member and vocalist for the rock band Great White, Jack Russell, has died at the age of 63.

A post was shared on his Instagram page, stating that the rocker passed peacefully with family and friends at his side.

It was just last month that Russell announced he was retiring from touring after a recent diagnosis of Lewy body dementia and multiple system atrophy.

Great White is best known for hit 1980s songs like “Once Bitten, Twice Shy” and “The Angel Song.”

The band is also known for the 2003 Rhode Island nightclub fire. The band was performing when pyrotechnics caught the building on fire. Great White’s guitarist Ty Longley died along with 100 others. Another 230 people were injured.

Great White released a statement on their Instagram page about the loss of Russell, saying band members would hold their years together in their hearts.
